Steve proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964-68, being honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. While in the service, he worked in the Logistics Command for the Titan II Missile System. He was finally able to see one these missiles up-close last year at a decommissioned silo in AZ. Also in 1964, Steve married the" love of his life," Jessica Rehn. They welcomed their first child, John, the following year. Upon leaving the Air Force, Steve & his family moved back to ND, where he returned to work for the DOT in the Bridge Division.
