Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late James Robert Kent and Wanda Pike Kent of Boiling Springs.Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Patty Kay Kent; a son, Jacob Steven Kent; daughter, Rebekka Kaye Kent; his grandparents, Bill and Martha Vaughn; sister, Michelle Kent Heaton; brothers, James Daryl Kent and James Preston Kent.Visitation will be from 12-1:45 P.M. Thursday at Providence Baptist Church, 8515 White Horse Road. Funeral services will follow at 2 P.M. conducted by Rev. Jerry Scott and Rev. Paul Wilson. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home of his Uncle Bruce and Aunt Stella Vaughn, 104 Abners Run, Greer, SC 29651.
