Stephen O. Davis - BLOOMINGDALE - Stephen O. Davis, 93, of Bloomingdale, GA, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Riverview Nursing Home, under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was born in Egypt, GA, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Davis, two grandsons, one sister and four brothers. He was a retired Iron Worker, and after retiring he enjoyed Gardening, and sharing Vegetables with others. He was an active worker in the Bloomingdale Lions Club, and he enjoyed helping the needy. He was the last living Civilian Conservation Boy that had worked at Fort Pulaski, GA, and he was to be the honored guest, on September 27, 2008 at Ft. Pulaski, as the last Conservation Camp Boy. He was a member of the Bonneybridge Baptist Church, a member of Richard T. Turner Lodge # 116, F. & A.M's, and Richard T. Turner Chapter # 332, OES., the Scottish Rite Consistory- Valley of Savannah, and Woodmen of the World, and the Bloomingdale Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Floy Smith Davis, of Bloomingdale, GA; four daughters, Gloria Starling, Louise Smith, Sherrie Jeffers, and Pamela Campbell; two stepsons, Ernie and Linda Slater, and Kenneth Slater; a nephew, Russell Truman Davis; and other nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home, with interment in Elkins Cemetery at Pineora, GA. Masonic Graveside Services will be conducted by Richard T.
