GRANT, Stephen Hunter - (Captain Ajax Fire Department) Passed away suddenly at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the age of 49. Loving husband of Nancy. Beloved father of Jeffery, Joshua and step-son Kyle. He will be deeply missed by his best buddy Bailey. Much loved son of Phyllis and step-father Ralph Baker. He was predeceased by his father William Grant and brother Bill Grant. He will also be missed by his mother-in-law, Elsa Goddard and predeceased by his fathers-in-law Adrian "Dusty" Claus and John "Jack" Goddard. Stephen will also be remembered by brother and sisters-in-law Robert (Vicki) Goddard, Pamela (Rudy) Sankovic, Sandra (Colin) Moore, Doug (Karen) Goddard and Susan (Steve) Brown. He will be missed by nieces, nephews and close friends, relatives and co-workers at the Ajax Fire Department. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax, 905-428-8488) on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 3 p.m. at the Pickering Village United Church (300 Church St. North, Ajax).
