She was a native of Chattanooga, TN, but lived most of her life in Nashville before moving to Rutherford County late 2000. Stella was a member of Abundant Life in Christ Ministries and worked as a hotel manager. Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Maybelle New Bishop; husband, Harry Raines; son, Billy Roy Raines; daughter, Gloria Jean Mitchell; brothers, Dan Bishop and David Bishop; sisters, Marie Belcher, Ella Mae St. Claire, Lillie Frady, Electer Raines and Virginia Nash. She is survived by her son, Barry (Judy) Raines of Rockvale; daughter, Sue (Danny) Kilburn of Rockvale; son-in-law, Billy Mitchell of Nashville; daughter-in-law, Debi Raines of Nashville; 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.Chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel, with Owen Powell officiating. Burial will be at Young Cemetery in Kingston Springs, TN at 2 p.m., with sons and grandsons serving as Pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home, 820 South Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130.
