Stella Mae MitchellDecatur Funeral for Stella Mae Mitchell, 90, of Decatur will be today, April 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley P. Clark officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Mitchell, who died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Parkway Medical Center, was born March 24, 1920, in Morgan County to John Dewey McCulloch and Perisa Lee McCulloch. She was retired from Compass Bank and was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She loved her yard and home and was loved by all her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Wilson Mitchell; and two sisters, Mildred Rogers and Martha Hendrix. She is survived by three brothers, Lucian McCulloch, Lonnie McCulloch and Buck McCulloch; and two sisters, Christine Self and Betty Millwood. Pallbearers will be Larry Self, Mac McCulloch, John Millwood, Jeff McCulloch, Pat McCulloch and Stephen McCulloch Honorary pallbearers will be Don McLemore, Ray Mitchell and Barry Kilpatrick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund.
