Stella Mae Johnson, 76, died Jan. 27, 2013 at Kindred The Palm Beaches, Riviera Beach. She was born in Lynchburg, S.C., and lived in Fort Myers, formerly of Fort Pierce. She was employed as a laborer for a furniture company. She was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sons, James Scott and David Scott; brothers, Thomas McElveen and Johnny McElveen, and sister, Bernice Issac. Survivors include her sons, Dexter Scott and Anthony Scott, both of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Bertha Miller of Fort Pierce, Terry Scott of Tampa and Deborah Scott of Fort Myers; brother, Benjamin McElveen of Sumter, S.C.; and eight grandchildren. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 1 and 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 2 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A home-going service will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.
