Stewart, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 16, 2013. Born in Greenville County she was a daughter of the late Jessie L. and Flora Gentry Norris. Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker and a charter member of Clearview Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mission Minded Sunday School Class. Surviving are her five children, Barbara Grissop and husband Terry, Jerry Stewart and wife Christa, Susan Blackwell, Deborah Tingle and husband Jacks and Donna Rice; a sister, Edith Greer; 11 grandchildren, Kimberly G. Esbenshade, John Grissop, Gary Stewart, Mechelle S. Greer, Scott Stewart, Lt. Col. Thomas "Jeff" Blackwell, Amy B. Lane, Erin T. Few, S. Jacks Tingle, Jessica T. Richey and Heather R. Tankersley ; 21 great grandchildren and a special niece & nephew Shirley & Garland McCall. She was predeceased by a grandson, Shane Heath Rice and 3 brothers, Comer Norris, Homer Norris and William P. Norris. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday afternoon at Clearview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Christopher Hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
