ST. JOHN Sandra Surles St. John, 63, passed away peacefully December 5, 2012. Sandra was born October 29, 1949 in Wilmington, NC, relocating to Jacksonville in 1960. She retired from Kirby Smith Middle School, where she was a beloved employee for 10 years. Sandra never missed a single Jaguars home game for 18 years, until her illness prevented her from attending. She loved spending time with her Kirby Smith friends and her family, especially her grandchildren. Sandra always had a warm greeting and a funny story for everyone she encountered. She is survived by her husband, Mark St. John; son, Robbie St. John (Kristi); grandchildren, Olivia and Julian St. John; aunt, Patsy DeVaun (Jimmy); cousins, Sherri DeVaun, Suzanne Shearer (David) and Jeff DeVaun (Kady). Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, December 14 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, December 15 in San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 Florida State Road 13, Saint Johns, FL 32259.
