Robert Arthur Collins, Sr. December 10, 1928 - August 21, 2011 Lebanon - Robert Arthur Collins, Sr., 82 of Lebanon, passed away at home on Sunday, August 21, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born December 10, 1928 to Robert J. and Arthurena (Turner) Collins. He leaves his wife and best friend of 61 years, Lorraine (DeVillez) Collins. Robert was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an Auto Mechanic at Collins Auto Sales for more than 40 years. In his retirement, he was a shuttle bus driver for ten years at Eastern Connecticut State University. He was a member of the Four Seasons Model T Association and a life member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters and their husbands; Sonia and Steve Tedford of Tolland; Karen Collins and Robert Niderno of Canterbury, two sons and their wives; Robert and Jill Collins of Lebanon, Michael and Renee Collins of Lebanon, grandchildren; Jake and Dana Tedford, Jamie Tedford, Jacquelyn and Jeffrey Miller, Brooke Collins and Michael Collins, Jr. and two great-grandchildren; Lauren Tedford and Justin Miller. He leaves his siblings: Constance Christadore, Margaret Wallace, Donald Collins, and Dorothy Saucier as well as many nieces and nephews including nephew, Dominic Christadore who took special care of him while at Douglas Manor. His family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic.
