John D. Corey, Sr. March 14, 1939 - December 19, 2009 Baltic - John D. Corey, Sr., 70, husband of Ruth (Bryant) Corey of Baltic, died Saturday at his home. Born in Ashaway, R.I. on March 14, 1939, he was the son of the late Frederick and Gwendolyn (Coon) Corey. Prior to his retirement he was employed in the environmental service department at Foxwoods Resort & Casino. Surviving is his wife Ruth, two sons, Ernest Corey of Jewett City, and John D. Corey, Jr. of Ashaway, R.I.; one daughter Lucy Courtemanche of Baltic; one brother Herbert Corey of Beaver Falls, PA; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be private. There is no visitation.
