KENNEY, SISTER MARY AGNES KENNEY, SCN, 93, a native of Bellevue, KY, died at Nazareth Home on Saturday morning, August 26, 2005. She had been a member of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth for 75 years. Sister had served as Montessori and elementary teacher in Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland and Tennessee, and in Health Service at Nazareth Home. In Louisville, Sister taught at Sacred Heart School from 1933-34; at Most Blessed Sacrament School from 1960-61; at St. Agnes School from 1966-68; at St. Thomas-St. Vincent Home from 1968-75, and at St. Charles Montessori from 1975-77. Sister served at Nazareth Home as assistant coordinator from 1980-1990, and in Community Service from 1990-1996. Sister became a resident at Nazareth Home in August 1996. Her sister, Sister Margaret Ellen Kenney, also a Sister of Charity of Nazareth, preceded her in death. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2005, in St. Vincent Church, with burial in Nazareth Cemetery following the Mass. Visitation will take place from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Nazareth Home, Louisville and after 4 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2005, at Nazareth. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2005, in St. Vincent Church.
