ST. CATHARINE CAREY, SISTER HUGH FRANCIS, OP, 94, died Sunday, July 17, 2005, at Sansbury Care Center on the grounds of St. Cath-arine Motherhouse near Springfield, KY. Sister Hugh Francis was a native of West Roxbury, MA, and a Dominican of St. Catharine for 73 years. She served as a teacher and principal throughout her ministry. Sister Hugh Francis ministered in several states, including New York, Massachusetts and Kentucky. Sister Hugh Francis is survived by her brother, several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Sansbury Chapel. Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is handling the arrangements.
