UntitledSHIRLEY FAYE BURKS WILLIAMS1936-2009Shirley Faye Burks Williams went to be with her Savior on Friday, July 31, 2009. She was born July 18, 1936 in Sheffield, AL. She was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and was a devoted member of Pensacola Blvd. Church of Christ. She retired from Monsanto after over 30 years of service and was an avid dog lover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Williams; father, C.J. Burks; mother, Louise Willoughby; brother, Clarence Burks; and sister, Helen Fillingim.She is survived by her cousin, Peggy Burks Nobles; good friend, Tommy Sheffield; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as her beloved dogs. Shirley spent her entire life in service to others and will be missed by all of us.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m., with Minister Jimmy Blackmon officiating.
