Shirley Joyce Peters(McIntyre)June 16, 1926 – January 15, 2013Shirley passed away peacefully at Luther Special Care Home at the age of 86. She is survived by sons Frank (Annette), Sid (Shari), Blair and Rex. She was also blessed with 14 grandchildren: Kelsey (Cory), Brooke, Kyle; Christie (Kyle), Jeff, Jackie, Breanna; Cam, Scott, Blake, Morgan, Spencer; Brigetta and Gavin. As well as three great grandchildren. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Fred, in 2001, and their daughter, Donna Gayle, in 1970.Shirley was born in North Battleford, where she remained until her marriage in 1949 to Fred Peters. They then made their home in Saskatoon. Shirley was a caring and loving person who was devoted to her family and friends. Shirley was a great hostess, loved to cook and enjoyed her gardening.Shirley and Fred were fortunate to travel extensively in Canada, US and Europe. The family also spent many happy summers at Days Beach. At all family gatherings you could be assured there was always a story behind the many family adventures.The family would like to thank Shirley's caregivers at Luther Special Care Home for their compassion and care. Funeral Services will take place at St. John's Anglican Cathedral on Saturday, January 19th 2013 at 2:00 pm.
