Murray, ShirleyShirley Spreyer Murray, 94, of West Haven passed away Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles Spreyer & John Murray. Born in New Haven on May 22, 1918, daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Wilson MacLeod. Mother of Jean (Louis) Cedrone & Richard (Nancy) Spreyer of West Haven & Frederick C. (Janice) Spreyer of NY. Also survived by her grandchildren Richard (Kasey) Spreyer, Corey (Kara) Spreyer, Jill (Bill) Watson and her great grandsons Jayden, Nathan, Chase, Brendan, Dylan, and Colin. Shirley received her Bachelor's Degree from Brown University. She was employed as the Director of Human Resources for the former Berger Brothers in New Haven until her retirement.Visitation will be Monday morning from 9-10:30 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Funeral services will follow at 11am in the Church of the Holy Spirit. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
