Shirley May Lee, 73, of Louisville, passed away Saturday at Norton Hospital. She had worked for 31 years for P. Lorillard Tobacco Co. and had also worked for Dial One Cleaning Service. She was a former housekeeper for Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, Arch L. Heady & Son on Westport Road and Heady-Willhite-Ballard Funeral Home. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny L. Hoffman. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Beckley, Margaret D. Mayndar and Patricia A. McAllister; son, John T. Hoffman III; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday.
