HUGHES, Shirley Mary Abigail (nee Glover) Peacefully passed away on September 3, 2009 at age seventy-nine. Shirley was predeceased by husband David, son Tommy, parents William and Charlotte, brothers William, Richard & Bernard, sister Eva, and childhood friend & soulmate Peggy. Shirley is lovingly remembered by foster daughter Deborah, sisters-in-law Yvonne, Lindsay & Lillian, many (great) nieces and nephews, childhood friend Joan and special companion John Allen. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Terrace Lodge Home for Seniors (Aylmer) for their gentle caring and compassion. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 51 Venison St. West, Tillsonburg, ON after which there will be a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Society or Alzheimer's Society.
