January 11, 2006 Shirley Margaret Clark, of Liverpool, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital where she had been hospitalized since suffering heart failure on Christmas Eve. She was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on May 7, 1923 the daughter of Harry and Mar-garet Michels Crompton and lived in Hudson until she relocated to Central New York in 1945. Shirley was predeceased by her son Robert Clark Jr., in 1963 and her sister Dorothy in 1995. Shirley is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Dona Clark and Howard Evans of East Syracuse, Pat and George Deloff of Baldwinsville; grandchildren Jerry and Adrienne Deloff of Bradenton, FL, Michael and Helena Deloff of Nova Scotia, Laura and Guy Caylor, Tracy and Tim Blumer all of Rosharon, TX, great-grandchildren Jake, Jessica and Michelle Caylor and Nicklas Deloff; sister, Harriet Hardy of Stratham, NH and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was a member of the Civic Social Club of Syracuse for thirty years, having served as President in 1985 and as an activities coordinator for many years. She was active in the Syracuse Figure Skating Association in the 1970's. Shirley also designed and drew the logos for both groups. In recent years, she was a member of the North Syracuse Art Guild. Each Wednesday her art and music friends met at her home to paint and make music. Shirley was never afraid to try new things, learning to play the guitar in her fifties, the piano in her sixties and the violin in her eighties. She lived a long and full life, she loved, and was loved, by many. Celebrate the joy of her life, not the grief of her passing. Calling hours will be Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. with a service to follow at 4 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home 300 Second St., Liverpool.
