Obituary of Shirley-Jean Miller


Shirley Jean Miller (Nana) of 5269 Four Lakes Road, Crestview, Fla., went to rest in Heaven on June 21, 2010. Shirley was the daughter of Walter and Nancy Smith. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Arthur L. Miller Jr.; and eldest daughter, Christina L. Ford. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur L. Miller Sr.; and devoted children, grandchildren and neighborhood "lost boys," too many to list by name. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and best friend and a born-again Christian.The Miller family wishes to thank North Okaloosa Medical Staff for all their care, as well as Dorcas Fire Department, EMS of Okaloosa County, Parthenon Healthcare Center, and Davita. (Please support kidney donation.) The family would also like to extend a very special thank you to Davis-Watkins Funeral Home for taking care of the most wonderful lady and beautiful soul this world has ever lost. She is with our Heavenly Father. Graveside services will be held on Friday at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Milton, Fla., beginning at 2 p.m. with Brother Joel Davis officiating.
