BIRKHEAD (Wilson), Shirley Jane - Age 73, left us peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday April 16, 2008, at Bluewater Health-Norman Site, Palliative Care. Predeceased by father Frederick Vincent Wilson and mother Minnie Wilson. Cherished wife of Frank Birkhead. Beloved mother of Diana and David Birkhead and his wife Colleen. Loving grandmother of Adam Decan, Nicholas and Craig Birkhead. A talented lady, Shirley taught French and spent over 30 years in the Girl Guide movement as leader, music and arts trainer. Even through her sickness she found strength to brighten the lives of the residents at Trillium Villa with her talents. But above all, Shirley was wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. She was the cornerstone of our lives and brought us kindness, fun and a lifetime of laughter. Words cannot express our sorrow. Resting at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Monday April 21st at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
