Shirley Park Hoffman, 81, resident of Bass River, MA since 1963 and co-owner of her family homestead (of more than 350 years) HIllside Farm Nursery in White Plains, NY which is still in existence today. Shirley passed away in peace celebrating her longtime wish to die at home with her loving daughter Diane Amaducci by her side and her adoring grandchildren who flew in weekly to be with her and with the loving care of the Hospice of Cape Cod Team of Angels who made her wish happen with grace and peace. She graduated from White Plains High School in White Plains, NY and graduated valedictorian of her class from Greenbriar College, West VA. She married Herbert W. Hoffman, Sr. in 1942 and established Tinkertown Cottages in Bass River, MA celebrating their 55th year this year. She was an avid stock market enthusiast, and was noted for her woodworking and doll beds. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed visiting her granddaughters in Miami, collecting sea shells on the beach in Longboat Key at her friend's estate. Her family is proud of her 19 years of recovery in AA to whom she gained great strength and serenity. In addition to her daughter she is survived by four grandchildren: James Robert of NYC, Suzanne Marie and Patricia Diane of Miami, FL and Michael Scott Amaducci of Boonton, NJ. A brother Roger B. Park of White Plains, NY and many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held on Monday, December 17, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hallett Funeral Home, MA. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 923 Route 6A, Yarmouthport, MA 02673, who have been a blessing to our family.
