SHIRLEY M. ALLEN EAST CHICAGO, IN Shirley M. "Shell" Allen, age 56, of East Chicago, IN, made her heavenly transition on February 14, 2008. She leaves to forever cherish her memory, loving husband, Rhoderick Allen; loving son, Chauncey Hackett (Arnesha); sisters: Erma (Alton) West, Jr., Charlene (James) Monroe and Clarice Ellison all of East Chicago, IN; Florence (Bernard) Hayne of Phoenix, AZ and Clarissa (Michael) Henderson of Columbus, OH; brothers: Charles (Janis) Crutcher of Hammond, IN and Curtis (Marie) Ellison of East Chicago, IN; god sister, Mary Dawson; four grandsons; one granddaughter; one great granddaughter; and a host of relatives and special friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Crutcher; and grandmother, Elma Covington. Homegoing services will be held Friday, February 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater First Church International, 4862 Olcott Ave., East Chicago, IN with Bishop Tarvis L. Grant officiating. Interment Fern Oaks Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with Family Hour from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Divinity Funeral Home, 3831 Main Street, East Chicago, IN. Shirley graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt High School Class of 1970. She was truly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
