Obituary of Shelley-Anne Smith


SMITH, Shelley Shelley Anne Smith died October 21, 2004 following a lengthy illness. She is the loved partner of Lauder Smith and raised four wonderful children: Lee Anne Smith and her friend Greg Moulton, Stewart Smith and wife Sara, Lauder Smith an d Merideth Smith. She has one Beautiful grandchild, Samantha Benjamin. She is also survived by her mother, Margaret Weir of Winnipeg, sister Gloria Wasacase of Brantford, brother Kirk Weir of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Rooney Weir of Winnipeg, brother-i n-law Kirk Liznick of Iroquois Falls and many much loved nieces and nephews. She is also missed by her other mother, Elvaretta Smith of Newburgh. Shelley worked for many years at Lennox and Addington Family and Children's Services with "her other fam ily". She received a great deal of support from the people there over the past year. There will be a gathering of family, friends and neighbours to celebrate her life and say farewell at the Newburgh Hall, Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 2 p.m. Please, no flowers or gifts. We would appreciate donations to the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre. The doctors and nurses of the cancer clinic were not able to cure Shelley. Instead, they gave her many months of wonderful and enjoyable life. Please support them. In the care of Hannah Funeral Home, Tamworth, 379-2997.
