Sheilah-Emmelina Bauman, born in 1916, spouse of John Bauman, died on September 7, 2009 at 93 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
BAUMAN, Sheilah Emmelina (nee Quinlan) - It is with deep regret that we advise of our Mother's death at the McCall Centre (Toronto) on Monday, September 7, 2009 in her 93rd year. Sheilah was born on October 9, 1916 in Callandar, Ontario. She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, John (Jack) Arthur Bauman, in 2000, and by her first child, Anne, in 2001. Sheilah is survived by her sons John, Bob (Sue), her daughter Mary (Alex), son-in-law Mike Brady, her sister Monica Moore and brother Gerry Quinlan, and by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Sheilah lived a full and active life, first in Powassan, Ontario, then in Toronto, Montreal and back in Toronto for the last forty-one years. Our Mother was a voracious reader. She had an informed opinion on most issues of the day, a lively wit and, as she would allow, a 'just socially acceptable' talent at bridge. Our thanks are extended to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Trillium Health Centre and McCall Centre. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Sunday from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 3914 Bloor St. W., at 10 a.m. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
