MONTGOMERY, Sheila Katherine May 3, 1919 February 27, 2010 Died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox on February 27, 2010. Sheila was born in Redvers, Sask. to pioneer parents and attended Redvers Jr. and High schools. She received her R.N. from the Winnipeg General Hospital and her Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Social Work from the University of Manitoba. After many years of nursing and latterly social work, Sheila and her husband retired to Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island in 1980. Sheila is survived by her loving husband Bill, daughter Maureen and husband Bob Maskell of Edmonton, daughter Cheryl Loewen and partner John Wiebe of Saltspring Island and three grandsons: Christopher Loewen and wife Donna and great-granddaughter, Sonia of Winnipeg; Carey Loewen and wife Kiera of Winnipeg; Chad Loewen and wife Heather of Steinbach, Manitoba. She was pre-deceased by her sister Gwennie Newcombe of Winnipeg, her brother Dunbar McWhirter and sister Vivian Duke, both of Redvers, Sask., and survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Wildwood Community Church in Bowser at a later date. Cremains to be sent to Redvers, Sask. to be buried beside her parents. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to the Champs Program of the War Amps of Canada or the T.B. Vets, Vancouver Branch, or charity of your choice would be appreciated. 582424
