NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Sharron Bankson Edwards, 78, of North Augusta, SC, former wife of the late Arthur W. Edwards, entered into rest on Sunday, July 21st, 2013. Born in Trenton, MO, she was a daughter of the late Howard William and Edna Williams Bankson. She retired after more than thirty years of service with Sears where she was a Division Manager. She was a Christian who worshipped at Riverside Church of Christ. "Grammyshan", as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and meeting with the Sears Retiree Club. Family members include her daughter, Sandra (Thomas) Stocum, North Augusta, SC; siblings, the late Marion Bankson, Sandra Vencill, Trenton, MO and Louis (Emma) Bankson, Trenton, MO; grandchildren, Windy Beach, Delta Junction, AK and Amanda (Jay) Freville, North Augusta, SC; great-grandchildren, Sean, Byrson, Ian, Aydin, Caralynn and Rory and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Among her many family traditions, most missed will be her wonderful Sunday dinners. In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Edwards will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2013, at 11 o clock at Riverside Church of Christ, 401 Murrah Rd., North Augusta, SC 29860, with Minister Dennis Dickey officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Trenton, MO.
