Sharon Elaine Johnson, age 66, passed away at 1:31 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2007, in the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. She was born on July 24, 1941, in Greene County, Missouri, the daughter of Charles G. Mosely and Dorothy M. Carter Mosely. Sharon attended the Pleasant View Elementary School and was a graduate of Pleasant Hope High School. She also attended church faithfully and helped out at church throughout her adult life. She was currently a member of the Spring Hill Baptist Church in northern Greene County. She worked at Union National Bank in Springfield, Mo., and in later years worked for the Dairy Herd Improvement Association as a lab technician. She also worked for the Polk County Soil and Water District, and her last eight years she was employed at Bill Grant Ford-Mercury as a bookkeeper. She was most content milking cows and working with Fred on their farm. She greatly enjoyed activities with her seven grandchildren, playing cards, riding four wheelers, wiener roasts at the river and playing in the snow. She was an avid reader and enjoyed attending the sports activities of her grandchildren. Sharon also enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren participate in tractor pulls around the area. She was preceded in death by her parents; one baby daughter, Glenda Sue; and a grandson, Zachary Johnson. Surviving is her husband, Fred Johnson of the home; a daughter, Anita Lynn and her husband, Shannon, of Bolivar; two sons, Kevin Johnson and his wife, Susan, of Marshfield, Mo., and Aaron Johnson and his wife, Teresa, of Springfield, Mo.; also a brother, Bob Mosley and his wife, Sharon, of Clever; and seven grandchildren, Shayna and Shyann Johnson, Chester Blackington, Kyle, Dalton and Devin Johnson and Wyatt Lynn. Visitation will be held this evening, August 8, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Spring Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at 1 p.m. in the Spring Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Smith and Rev. Dave Meyers officiating. Musical soloist will be Micki Roy. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Casketbearers will be Jerrell WIlson, Sam Hawk, Don Burchell, Terry Altic, Carl Holman and David Durr. Honorary casketbearers will be Don Greene, DeWayne Burdette, Charlie Stokes, Tracy Self, Bob Haley and Elza Martin.
