Shari Renee Hall Jordan, 49, of St. Augustine, Fla., passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Bailey Center for Caring, surrounded by her family after a long, hard, courageous three-year battle with cancer.Born in St. Augustine on Oct. 28, 1961, she had lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Augustine High School in June 1979 with a degree in mechanical drafting and began her drafting career for a short time in Farmingdale, N.Y. She later returned to her home to update her computer drafting skills and begin employment at Washac Industries.For 17 years, she worked at Hydro Aluminum (VAW), and, in March 2005, she began her career at Flagler College as administrator of Maintenance and Custodial Services. She greatly enjoyed her tenure at the college and loved all the employees and staff. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Essie and Ivy Hall; maternal grandparents, Helen Eichholz and Joseph Brantley; and her father, Warren E. Hall. She is survived by her son, W. Warren Jordan; her mother, Margarrett Hall; a brother, Warren "Chris" Hall; devoted companion, Thomas "Tom" Corley, all of St. Augustine; aunts, Mary Sue (and Tillman) George and Linda Cornett, both of Lake City, Fla.; uncles, Donald (and Mary Frances) Hall of Lake City, Robert (and Kathy) Brantley of Orlando, Fla., Richard (and Elvis) Christensen of Yellville, Ariz., and Rodney (and Angie) Christensen of St. Augustine; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Good News Church on Wildwood Drive, officiated by the Rev. Smiley Sturgis. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.A luncheon reception at the church will follow the service.
