SHANNON DEE ANDERSON VALPARAISO,IN Shannon Dee Anderson, 40, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013. She was born June 26, 1973 in East Chicago, the daughter of Gary D. Anderson and Betty Jean (Martin) Calvin. When she was younger, Shannon was involved in the Special Olympics. She was a loving aunt, sister, daughter, niece, and granddaughter. Shannon had a genuine care of music, animals and NASCAR. Surviving are her parents: Betty Jean and Victor L. Calvin, Sr.; brothers and sisters: Gary L. (Sabrina) Anderson, Krystyn Anderson, David (Debbie) Calvin, Shawn (Heather) Calvin, Catrena (Lamont) Morris, Victor Lee Calvin, Jr., and Charles Calvin; 15 nieces and nephews; and a great nephew. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso with Pastor Jeff Hawkins officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial donations to be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
