Obituary of Selena-Lou-Burriss Taylor


Selena Lou Burriss Taylor, 81, of 5 Wrigley St., died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lois Reynolds Burriss, and wife of the late Louis A. Taylor. She was retired from Clay Brothers Drug Store and was a member of Dunean Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Chamberlain and her husband Donald, of Piedmont; one son, Louis Alan Taylor and his wife Cathy, of Piedmont; one son-in-law, J.C. Burch, of Easley; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Moon; and one brother, Fred (Bud) Burriss, both of Greenville. She is predeceased by a daughter, Marion Burch; one grandson; one brother; and two sisters. Memorials may be made to Miracle Hill Children's Home, 102 Drummond Lane, Pickens, SC 29671. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, with the Rev. Calvin Holland officiating.Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Section BB. The family is at the home of Barbara Chamberlain, 109 Westview East, Piedmont.
