-->Savannah Ruth Lawson PAULINE, SC-- Savannah Ruth Lawson, age 81, of 1400 Blackstock Road, died Saturday, September 1, 2007. Born in Union on December 19, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Wilford and Lilly Tucker Smith. She was retired from textiles and a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Lawson is survived by three grandsons, Scott Lawson and Brent Lawson both of Pauline, and Michael Lawson of Snow Camp, NC; two granddaughters, Dawn Sprouse of Buffalo and Crystal Lawson of Union; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Ricky Lawson and James M. Lawson; two brothers, Doc Smith and Marvin Smith; and three sisters, Donie Smith, Corri Boulware, and Rosalee Grant. Mrs. Lawson was the last surviving member of her immediate family. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Shane Dismuke presiding. The family is at the home.
