Obituary of Sarah-Pauline Carter

Mrs. Sarah Pauline Carter, age 81, of Green Hill Road, Gainesville passed away Friday, March 28, 2008, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow at Timberidge Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Kenny Sizemore and the Rev. Scotty Poole will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the funeral home. Mrs. Carter was born in Hall County and was the daughter of the late John Henry Poole and Maybell (Cagle) Poole. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mrs. Carter was retired from Macklinburg Duncan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William H. "Billy" Carter; and brothers, Wallace J. Poole, Clyde Poole, Ervin Poole and Denver Poole. She is survived by her sisters, Willie Dean Crow and Catherine Gilreath, both of Gainesville; sisters-in-law, Louise Poole, Gainesville, and Geraldine Poole, Lula, Helen Martin, Florida, and Hazel Lingerfelt, Gainesville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Cecile Carter, Gainesville; brother-in-law, Howard Carter; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family and friends also survive.
