Sarah Lowry, 91, Englewood, died Aug. 2, 2003. She was born Jan. 7, 1912, in Salineville, Ohio, and came to Englewood in 1976 from Solon, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1933 and VFW Post 10178 Auxiliary, in Englewood. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Howard J.; sons Thomas of Jacksonville and James; a brother, Austin Macaluso of Ohio; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 8:20 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
