Church, Monticello with burial in the Church Cemetery. Viewing-visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE 850-942-1950, with the family receiving friends from 6-7.A 1979 graduate of Leon High School, Ms. Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in Childhood Development and Family Relations from Florida State University and a master's degree in Urban Education and Community Counseling from Norfolk State University. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Chesapeake.A Clinical Social Worker at Southeastern Virginia Training Center, "Sharon" was dedicated to her career and truly loved by her clients. Treasuring her love and precious memories are her two sons, Marvin Anthony Evans of Richmond, VA and Christopher Tywan Johnson of Hollywood, FL; her loving mother, Sarah Lawrence Simmons, Tallahassee, FL; her loyal companion, Ricky Jackson; two brothers, Samuel Lawrence, Miami, FL, and Clyde Lawrence, Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Diane Baker, Miami, FL, Carolyn Simmons, Fayetteville, NC and Cynthia Simmons Turner of Fayetteville, GA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Simmons, Sr.; brother, Henry Simmons, Jr.; and sister, Mattie Mae Simmons.
