Sarah Henderson, 68, of Baker, Fla., went to be with our Heavenly Father from her home in Baker on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011. She was born in Baker on June 25, 1943, to Lenwood and Bonice Jordan Jackson. Sarah was a lifelong resident of the Baker area. She worked as a cook at many area restaurants and at Crestview High School. Sarah attended Shady Grove Assembly of God. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother to everyone she knew.Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Andrew Jasper Jackson. Sarah leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Jim Jackson Henderson Sr.; sons, Jim J. Henderson Jr. and wife, Tammy, and Steven F. Henderson and wife, Mary; and one daughter, Tonia Henderson Davis and her husband, Shannon. Sarah also leaves behind six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Glenda Adkison and her husband, Donnie, Nadine Stiller and her husband, James, and Patsy Wilkerson and her husband, Dennis; one brother, Len Jackson and his wife, Mary Beth; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.A time of visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. The celebration of Sarah's life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Assembly of God in Baker.
