Carter, Sarah (Voss) PENSACOLA, Fla. Sarah Carter (Voss), of Pensacola, lost her courageous battle with cancer on June 2, 2008. Survived by her loving husband, Donald P. Carter; her precious daughter, Madeliene Devin Carter; and her wonderful in-laws, Donald R. Carter and Mary Carter; also survived by her father, Gary F. Voss and step-mother Patricia Mohr-Voss; sisters, Cheri Freedman-Voss and her husband Maish Freedman, Brittany Mayone, and Harleigh Voss; her brothers, David Voss and his wife Cherie, and Garrett Voss; also survived by her grandmother, Jaqueline Hendrick; and mother, Anna Ray. Predeceased by grandparents, Angela and Bernard Voss and her grandfather, John Hendrick. Sarah was born in Albany, N.Y. on August 18, 1977. She graduated from Guilderland Central High School in 1996. She most recently worked for Gulf Coast Youth Football Association as the league secretary. She loved traveling, spending time at the beach and shopping for anything Coach; she was known as the "Coach queen." She leaves behind special lifelong friends, Christina Parisi, Jen Decosmo, Marisa Quinn, and Missy Peterson. Special thanks to all of the wonderful friends and family that were by her side, especially her stepmother, Patty for being by her side every step throughout her courageous battle.
