Mrs. Sarah Wood Bennett, 91, widow of Ernest Bennett, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Magnolia Place in Greenville.Mrs. Bennett was born July 19, 1913, in Fountain Inn to the late William James Wood and Hattie Madora Powers Wood. She retired as a sales clerk from the Fountain Inn Belk's Department Store. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she once taught the Rene Kellett Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Lady's Circle #1.Surviving are a son, Bill Bennett, and his wife, Martha, of Greenville; a daughter, Edith Peden, and her husband, Dick, of Fountain Inn; a grandson, Richard Peden, and his wife, Lynn; two granddaughters, Arissa B. Gaines, and her husband, Jamie, and Susan P. Gray, and her husband, Stanley; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.Funeral services will be 7 p.m. today at Fletcher Funeral Chapel in Fountain Inn. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peden, 402 Jenkins Bridge Road, Fountain Inn.Memorials may be made to Epworth Children's Home, P.O.
