Obituary of Sarah-Ann Lee


LEE Sarah Ann (Root) Lee, age 57, of Monroe, died on Saturday, November 27, 2004, at St. Vincent"s Medical Center, Bridgeport. Ms. Lee was born in Burlington, Vt., on April 5, 1947, a daughter of the late Alfred J. and Genevieve (Tardie) Root. She was a managing supervisor for 27 years at Dresser Industries. She also loved fishing and hunting. She is survived by a brother, Alfred Root and his wife, Donna, of Shelton; sisters, Viola Fortin of Newtown, and Theresa Root of Seymour; four nieces, Cheryl Krauchik of Seymour, Renee Mollo of Seymour, Jo-Anne Ushchak of East Haven, and Vicky Berry of Massachusetts; two nephews, A.J. Root of Seymour, and Francis Fortin of Newtown. She also leaves extended family; Florence M. Erickson of Monroe, Rick and Sue Erickson of the Sandy Hook section of Newtown, and their children, Eric, Henry and Emily. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2004, at 8:30 a.m. from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, Monroe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery in Sandy Hook. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 1, 2004, from 5 to 9 p.m. See www.spadfh.com for more information.
