ROOKS Sara Lois Rooks, 85, a long-time resident of Jacksonville, passed away at home on October 21, 2009. She was born in Jacksonville on August 11, 1924 and lived there until 2006 when she moved to Brandon, Florida to live with her daughter Sharon R. Little and son-in-law Richard. She was married to the late Johnny L. Rooks Jr. for 64 years. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, Nana and friend. She was an active member of the West Jacksonville Advent Church for 82 years. She is survived by her loving daughter Sharon R. Little and husband Richard Sr.; brother Ken West and wife Fran; sister-in-law Marie Brinson and husband Alex; five grandchildren: Stephanie Brozovich and husband Martin, Kenny West and wife Billi, Richard Little Jr. and wife Tonya, Crissy McWilliams and husband Jeff and Jonathan Little and wife Tanya; four great grandchildren: Kelsie Mull, Kennedy Little, Carter Little and Chase Little, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26th at 11:00 AM at The West Jacksonville Advent Christian Church, 8376 Normandy Blvd. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25th between 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the LifePath Hospice of Hillsborough County 866-204-8611 or www.lifepath-hospice.org .
