Sara B. Lee HIGHLAND - Sara B. Lee, 96, a lifelong resident of Highland passed away on Dec.14, 2010 at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation and Extended Care Center. Mrs. Lee was a beautician and lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America in Highland, graduated from Highland High School class of 1933, and was a member of St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Highland. She was born in Highland on Oct. 29, 1914. She was the daughter of Frank and Rose Valentino Brescia. On March 10, 1957 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie she married Charles A. Lee. Mr. Lee predeceased her on Sept. 18, 1982. Survivors include her daughter, Christine Kantner and her husband Robert F. of Chapel Hill, N.C., granddaughter, Debra Kantner of Chapel Hill N.C., her sisters, Rose Trapani of Milton, Katherine Castano of Highland, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Josephine Pizzuto, Theresa Power, and her brother Thomas Brescia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Charles House Elder Care Center, 109 Hillcrest Ave., Carrboro, NC 27510. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will celebrated Friday Dec. 17, 2010 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Highland. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
