Sandra Denise Smith of Liberty died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at her residence. She was 39. Born in Fayetteville, N.C. on March 16, 1975, she was the daughter of Jim Grimes of Cameron, N.C. and Brenda Ramsey Luttrell of Liberty. She was a member of Redemption Road Church. Survivors include her husband, Israel Vance Smith; three daughters, Keely Shaye Smith, Brielle Makayla Smith and Denise Isabella Smith; a sister, Tammy (and George) Sizemore of Liberty; and three half-brothers, James Grimes of Cameron, N.C., Charles Grimes of Texas and Robert Grimes of North Carolina. Funeral services were May 17 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Yocum officiating. Burial was at Durham Cemetery.
