-> Sylvania - Mrs. Sandra Smith, 59, died Thursday, February 2, 2006, at her residence. The Screven County native was a nurse and a member of the Buck Creek United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Emory Kemp. Survivors include: husband, Danny Smith of Sylvania, GA; two sons and daughter -in-law, Danny Smith, Jr. and Mark and Jamie W. Smith of Sylvania, GA; mother, Jeanette Godbee Kemp of Sylvania; four grandchildren, Brandon and April Smith of Aiken, SC, Casey Smith, Griffin Smith and Carlee Smith of Sylvania, GA. Her best friend in the whole world, Sue Black of Orlando, FL; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thompson -Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Purnell and Minister George Pevey officiating. Burial will be at the Buck Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.
