WATERFORD Sandra J. Brown, 57, of Hillview Terrace died suddenly Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lawrence Jr. and Lois Crandall Lawrence. She was a 1965 graduate of Waterford-Halfmoon High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. Sandy was a former member of the Waterford Board of Education and a former member and past president of the PTA at the school. She was a member of Grace Church in Waterford and in her earlier years was a Vestrywoman at the church as well as having been active in the youth group and Altar Guild. She and her husband Curt devoted much time to the Waterford Youth Council Basketball Program and Waterford Little League. She is survived by her husband Curtiss V. Brown; her children, Scott T. Brown and his wife Corrine of Fairborn, Ohio and Steven L. Brown and his wife Carol of Ballston Spa. Also surviving is her brother, Thomas Lawrence III and his wife Deborah of Hyattsville, Md.; her grandchildren, Allison Bush of Gallatin, Tenn., Catherine Saltsman and Scott V. Brown of Ballston Spa as well as her nieces, Sarah L. Catalano of Fairfax, Va. and Blair W. Lawrence of Charlottesville, Va. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 34 3rd St., Waterford. Interment will be in the family lot in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rt. 32), Waterford, Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Waterford Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home office.
