Sandra I. (Balducci) Carter, age 70, of Hudson, formerly of Marlborough, Wilbraham and Quincy, died peacefully, Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1958. She has briefly lived in Hudson, previously twenty-five years in Marlborough, twelve years in Wilbraham and prior in Quincy. Sandra was employed as a sales associate for many years and had worked at several stores including Appleseeds in Concord. She has been retired several years. She enjoyed traveling, decorating, knitting and was an avid reader. Sandra was devoted to her family. Beloved wife of the late Richard C. Carter. Devoted mother of Kellie S. Carter of Chelmsford, Robin M. Carter of Marlborough, Richard A. Carter and his wife Jennifer of Littleton, Jacqueline M. Carter and her husband Gene Halbrooks of Leominster. Loving grandmother of Richard, Thomas, Anthony, Kathryn, Lindsey, Jessica, Luke, and Clarice and loving great-grandmother of Aurora. Cherished daughter of the late Amedeo and Giovanna L. Gianna (Biagini) Balducci. Sister of the late Janice M. Caruso. Dear niece of Mabel Biagini of Quincy. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Christ Church Episcopal, 12 Quincy Avenue, Quincy, Thursday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours was at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy, Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 4 | 8 p.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
