Sandra Cooke Taylor of Wellington, Fla., formerly of Florence, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010. She was a very loving wife and mother. As a child, she was active in the Girl Scouts and became a cheerleader in high school. She was a high school biology teacher and a Cub Scout Den Leader. She loved to read mystery novels with odd titles and do cross stitch. She volunteered at the local library and taught people how to read.Sandra was always there with a kind word or a sarcastic remark for any situation. She was always there at story time for her grandson and loved to play games with him.Sandra is survived by her husband, John L. Taylor; her brother, Al Cooke and his wife, Arlene S. Cooke; her son, David L. Taylor and his wife, Cindi B. Taylor; and her grandson, Benjamin L. Taylor.She was a true Southern lady.A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, in Greenview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Donnie McDaniel officiating.Arrangements by Greenview Funeral Home.
