Sandi M. (Santiano) Carter, 65, died Tuesday, May 28, after a brave battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of James E. Carter. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Gertrude (Johnson) Santiano. Sandi was a longtime resident of Middleboro and before her retirement she had worked for over 20 years for Butler Automatic of Middleboro. In addition to her husband Jim, she is survived by her loving son, Tim Geiss and his wife Myriah Hallinan of Middleboro; and her grandchildren, Dharma and Phoibe Hallinan. She is also survived by her sisters. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, June 1, from 6-8 p.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary), Whitman. A private burial will be held at a later date.
