Obituary of Samuel-Terry Johnson


Mr. Samuel Terry Johnson, 57, of Lafayette, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, in a local hospital. He was born in Panama City, Fla., and had resided in Louisiana for the past 30 years. He was a very talented musician and worked as an oil field pipe inspection specialist. He was Pentecostal by faith. Survivors include his wife, Connie Johnson; a son, Jeremy C. Johnson; his father and stepmother, Samuel and Rebecca Johnson of Panama City; a brother, Steven Rick Johnson and wife, Ann Marie, of Nashville, Tenn.; three nieces, Stephanie, Savannah and Sierra; a nephew, Steven Chad; and his aunt and uncle, Betty and the Rev. Wilfred Carter of Panama City. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elna Marie Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 15, 2007, at Hiland Park United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Wilfred Carter and the Rev. Rodney Capps officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers are Fred Carter, Charles Walker, Chris Walker, Joey LeMasters, John Adams and Mike Bledsoe.
