ST. JOHN, Sam W., 78, of New Port Richey, Fla., died January 7, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, June; three sons, Wayne St. John and Gary St. John, both of Vermont, and Glenn St. John of New Hampshire; a sister, Phyllis Greenleaf of Connecticut; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was born in Hartford, Conn., and moved here in the early 1980s from Gilford, Vt. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was the retired owner after 31 years of Wilmington, Vt., and Brattleboro, Vt. He was a Methodist.
