Salome Sally (Emmick) Hughesof Binghamton Salome Sally Martha (Emmick) Hughes, 85, MARTHA of Binghamton, died on Thursday, December 20, 2001 at the Binghamton General Hospital. Born in LeRoy, N.Y. on February 18, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Amby S. Emmick, Sr. and Bessie E. (Pearce) Emmick. She lived most of her life in Binghamton. She was a licensed Practical Nurse and Private Duty Nurse throughout her career. She is survived by her devoted brother, Amby S. Emmick, Jr. and his wife, Frances (Bass) Emmick, Ellington, Conn.; also four nieces, Cheryl Hargescheimer, Seattle, Wash., Wendy Smyth, Manchester Conn., Judy Emmick, Wethersfield, Conn. and Martha Hunt, West Hartford, Conn.; nine grand nephews and nieces; and her special loving friend, Ada Gentile.
